Christ is the end of the law so that there may be righteousness for everyone who believes.
WOW! What a promise. Thank you so much Lord that you are my righteousness. I can say that with confidence because I believe in you Jesus, and whosoever believes in you is set free from all iniquities as your word tells us. Because you died on the cross for us, we have been restored to full relationship with you, the same place Adam and Eve had with you in the garden. We are now a joint heir to all that Jesus has and the scripture tells us we can even do greater things than what He did while He was on earth, because He went to the Father. The Holy Spirit dwells in us, being our teacher and guide, leading us into all truth. “And if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit, who lives in you” (Romans 8:11) What a great treasure of promises we have in His word!
The end is so much better than the beginning! In so many ways, Jesus is the end of all the laws that Moses delivered to us, we now live in the sphere of faith where our righteousness is no longer our being right, but is solely based on the precious work that Jesus finished at Calvary. We now bare His righteousness, because the Father accepted His perfect sacrifice that was offered once and for all, He has imparted to us His own Righteousness when we believed. We now can come into the throne room boldly to the Father knowing our prays will be heard and acted upon, for His Glory. “But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumphal procession in Christ and through us spreads everywhere the fragrance of the knowledge of Him.” (2Cor 2:14) “Thanks be to God for His unspeakable gift” (2Cor 9:15) Look at the word “thanks” here from G5463; graciousness (as gratifying), of manner or act (abstract or concrete; literal, figurative or spiritual; especially the divine influence upon the heart, and its reflection in the life; including gratitude): – acceptable, benefit, favour, gift, grace (-ious), joy liberality, pleasure, thank (-s, -worthy).
Paul experience the Lord Jesus’s divine influence upon his heart, and with all that he did Paul reflected His influence in his life. The same gift of sonship applies to all those who are believing in Jesus Christ.
When you’re at the end of yourself, there is nowhere to go, you feel like giving up, everything has failed and keeps failing, look to Jesus, He is the end of the law, and the beginning of a new life for you. Allow Him to pick you up, it is then no longer about what you can do, only about what Jesus has done for all those who will believe in Him. The covenant promise for you is found in (Hebrews 8:10-12) where Jesus says I will, I will, I will, it is no longer about what you should do because all has been accomplished at the cross, believe in His ability to raise you up and live in His help. Receive Him and be blessed!
