Romans 10:4

Christ is the end of the law so that there may be righteousness for everyone who believes.

WOW! What a promise. Thank you so much Lord that you are my righteousness. I can say that with confidence because I believe in you Jesus, and whosoever believes in you is set free from all iniquities as your word tells us. Because you died on the cross for us, we have been restored to full relationship with you, the same place Adam and Eve had with you in the garden. We are now a joint heir to all that Jesus has and the scripture tells us we can even do greater things than what He did while He was on earth, because He went to the Father. The Holy Spirit dwells in us, being our teacher and guide, leading us into all truth. “And if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit, who lives in you” (Romans 8:11) What a great treasure of promises we have in His word!

The end is so much better than the beginning! In so many ways, Jesus is the end of all the laws that Moses delivered to us, we now live in the sphere of faith where our righteousness is no longer our being right, but is solely based on the precious work that Jesus finished at Calvary. We now bare His righteousness, because the Father accepted His perfect sacrifice that was offered once and for all, He has imparted to us His own Righteousness when we believed. We now can come into the throne room boldly to the Father knowing our prays will be heard and acted upon, for His Glory. “But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumphal procession in Christ and through us spreads everywhere the fragrance of the knowledge of Him.” (2Cor 2:14) “Thanks be to God for His unspeakable gift” (2Cor 9:15)  Look at the word “thanks” here from G5463; graciousness (as gratifying), of manner or act (abstract or concrete; literal, figurative or spiritual; especially the divine influence upon the heart, and its reflection in the life; including gratitude): – acceptable, benefit, favour, gift, grace (-ious), joy liberality, pleasure, thank (-s, -worthy).

Paul experience the Lord Jesus’s divine influence upon his heart, and with all that he did Paul reflected His influence in his life. The same gift of sonship applies to all those who are believing in Jesus Christ.

When you’re at the end of yourself, there is  nowhere to go, you feel like giving up, everything has failed and keeps failing, look to Jesus, He is the end of the law, and the beginning of a new life for you. Allow Him to pick you up, it is then no longer about what you can do, only about what Jesus has done for all those who will believe in Him. The covenant promise for you is found in (Hebrews 8:10-12) where Jesus says I will, I will, I will, it is no longer about what you should do because all has been accomplished at the cross, believe in His ability to raise you up and live in His help.  Receive Him and be blessed!

Do we still abide by the Old Covenant Law?

It was now about noon, and darkness came over the whole land until three in the afternoon, for the sun stopped shining. and the curtain of the temple was torn in two. Jesus called out with a loud voice, “Father, into your hands I commit my spirit.” When He had said this, he breathed his last.(Luke 23:44-46; Mark 15:38;Matthew 27:51,Hebrews 9:1-14;10:14-22)

Under the Old Covenant only the High Priest was allowed to go into the Holy of Holies behind the curtain at the tabernacle to offer up sacrifices on behalf of the people. But now that the curtain was torn in two from top to bottom it made away now for all people to be able to come boldly into the presence of the Father.(acts 13:39) When we first read (Matthew 5:17) it appears that the law has not been abolished but as you look into the next verse (matt 5:18)in its context, when it was spoken,to whom it was said and in its context,we can see that the law has been fulfilled. What did Jesus say He came to do? “To fulfill the law” So it is saying that once the sacrifice of Jesus Christ has been fulfilled, the righteous requirement of the law is fulfilled.Jesus is the end of the law.(Romans 10:4)Having abolished in His flesh the enmity, that is the law of commandments contained in ordinances, so as to create in Himself one new man from the two, thus making peace.(Ephesians 2:15)(Hebrews 10:8,9,10)

The law was given so that the tresspass might increase. (Romans 5:20) Jesus showed them what keeping the full requirement of the law really meant. (Matt 5:28-30)he took them to the endth degree showing them that keeping the law was an impossibility. It was beyond reach for man to keep the whole law. Mankind was doomed lost forever under the requirements of the law. They needed a scapegoat (lev 16:9-10)So,therefore, it was necessary for mankind to have a representative on behalf of themselves,a scapegoat, to keep the full standard of the law that was required to be right with God the Father, a saviour, Jesus Christ. One who would bare the burden of our sins yet He himself be without sin, doing everything the law required. He became our atoning sacrifice at the cross. Every sin ever committed know and unknown was laid upon Him on the cross, our past, present, and future sins were all laid upon Jesus at the cross. He became sin for us. (2corinthians 5:21)so that we could be made righteous in Him. Our sins were purged on the cross by Jesus Christ, giving us right standing with the Father allowing us to be the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. What Jesus did for us the law could not do. The law is holy but it could not make us holy (Romans 7:12) “I am the Lord who makes you Holy” (Leviticus 20:7) God makes us Holy, not our actions, not the law, not our sacrifices, the Lord He is our Righteousness. The scripture says “once I was alive apart from the law; but when the commandment came, sin sprang to life and I died.”(romans7:9)”what a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body of death?thanks be to God who delivers me through Jesus Christ our Lord! The law is holy and good but it cannot make us holy or good it fact the scripture tells us “the strength of sin is the law” (1cor 15:56).

I conclude that Jesus Christ is the end of the law, He has ushered in the New Covenant. He is our living stone, our new foundation, our High Priest, our Righteousness. We no longer are subject to all the ordinances of the Old Covenant, we now live by the power of the Holy Spirit who lives inside of us teaching us and working on the inside to the outside all that He wants us to do.” For it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose”(Phillipines 2:13)

Then Jesus asked, “what is the Kingdom of God like?what shall I compare it to?

it is like a mustard seed, which a man took and planted in his garden. It grew and became a tree, and the birds perched in its branches.”

Again he asked, “what shall I compare the Kingdom of God to? It is like yeast that

a woman took and mixed into about sixty pounds of flour until it worked all through the dough. (Luke 13:18-21)

kingdom: Greek – basilica 932 – properly royalty : Kingdom reign. As embodied in the visible church and the universal spread of the gospel.

Oh I like that! “Properly Royal” Jesus is our commander and chief! When He is allowed to lead in the “properly royal” position in the church, we will see the  kingdom of God  residing as a “properly royal “reign, It will manifest with “Zoe”life through every area of the church. No more floundering, no more programmes trying to make things happen, growth will just appear when Jesus is Lord. “Those who accepted his message were baptised, and about three thousand were added to their number that day.” (Acts 2:41) See that on one day there were three thousand added to the church. This change of command will be a universal and eternal change, it will permeate through every area just like the yeast did through the sixty pounds of flour. And just like the small mustard seed growing to be a tree where the birds perched in its branches. The kingdom of God will influence the church through its vessels. It won’t be stopped, controlled or manipulate, because it is the power of God unto salvation effecting eternal good to all who will believe.(Romans 1:16) “the One enthroned in heaven laughs”(Ps2:4).

Church, you are carrying around in your bodies the life of Jesus Christ. He is planted on the inside of you, He is the yeast that will bring growth, His Glory manifesting on the inside of you and filtering out to all who will believe. This power on the inside is not for you but for all those who are perishing. “So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.”(2cor4:7-18) and that is the power of one.! Jesus Christ Our Lord.

(Proverbs 14:12)

sometimes what appears to be very right can actually be very wrong!

Everyone of us have a belief system, and for all of us, what we believe is correct! So we think, Right? Well today Allow me to challenge you on your philosophy. Yes we are all subject to receiving knowledge, this could allow us to be tricked into deception if we are not sensitive to truth,as we progress using this means of knowledge, we will be enticed into a wrong direction causing a painful life existence and let’s face it, life is much too short for us to get off on the wrong path and windup on a dead end street.

Where we get our information is the determining factor to the quality of life we will experience. Have a read sometime of Adam and Eve’s plight, a great example to us of listening to the wrong voice. (Genesis 3) We can either find our direction from the tree of life,or from the knowledge of good and evil.

Our decisions, our judgements, our knowledge need to be based from the word of

God. “As for me and my household we will serve the Lord”(Joshua 24.15)

If our philosophy is not from Gods word we are in a wrong philosophy. Every choice and decision we make needs to be tested in Gods truth(Col:2-8).If that’s
Ruffling some feathers I am comfortable, until you’re challenged you won’t see the truth. “The truth will set you free”. Focusing on the source of all truth will protect you.

Being grounded in Gods word will save you and those who will hear you.

“Be diligent in these matters;give yourself wholly to them, so that everyone may see your progress, watch your life and doctrine closely. Persevere in them, because if you do, you will save both yourself and your hearers” (1Timothy 4:15-16)

For righteousness could be gained through the law,Christ died for nothing

“For if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing” (Galatians 2:21)

In other words, if we can get access to being right in God’s eyes by our being right, prim, and proper by doing right actions, by obeying what the rules and regulations of the day tell us. Saying the right thing or not saying or doing the right thing has no bearing on our relationship with the Father, our relationship with the Father is not hindered by our actions, good or bad. If our relationship depends on our actions then how and why Jesus died is of no value to us, it comes to nothing as far as our relationship with God is concerned. Jesus died in vein if we think that we have to add actions to our becoming more right with the Father. “All who rely on observing the law are under a curse, for it is written: “Cursed is everyone who does not continue to do everything written in the book of the law. Clearly no one is justified before God by the law, because, The Righteous will live by faith” (Galatians 3:10-11) “you who are trying to be justified by law, have been alienated from Christ you have fallen away from grace. “(Gal 5:4)
“For if the inheritance depends on the law, then it no longer depends on a promise” (Gal 3:18)
I’ve been around awhile, and seen a thing or two, and learnt a thing or two! (Johnny Cash) and I tell you, that for a lot of my time in the Christian community, I heard mixture, I kept seeking man’s approval, rather than seeking Jesus, and I believe that has caused me to stumble in my walk with Jesus. Man will tell you what you’re doing wrong, and how you can make your walk better. Jesus is who really counts, the bible says, He became wisdom for us, if you need help go to Jesus. No matter what your need, He will help you, the bible says, He is an ever present help in the time of need. Don’t believe everything you hear, go to God’s word and seek truth out for yourself. Study God’s word for yourself, make sure what I am saying is the truth, don’t let man deceive you with flattery and all kinds of fables.
Paul experienced this dilemma with the Galatian church, he had to once more be in the pains of childbirth until Christ be formed in them (Gal 4:19-20) The agitators were about to cause Paul’s converts to be still born (Fee 2007:169)
So what was the purpose of the law, why did God give the law if it doesn’t make us right with the Father? “ It was added because of transgressions, until the seed to whom the promise referred had come.” (Gal 3:19) “The law is not a bad thing, it simply was not intended to replace or do the work of the promise.” (Fee 2007:129) “So the law was put in charge to lead us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith, Now that faith has come we are no longer under the supervision of the law.” (Gal 3:2-25) The law was used to “hem people in” while they were still under sin’s power until the seed of the promise, Abraham’s true seed would come, Jesus Christ.
We are made right solely on what Jesus did at the cross, there is nothing more that needs to be done. Our right standing is based solely on Jesus sacrifice offered up to the Father, Is His sacrifice accepted by the Father God, if the scripture’s answer is yes, then your relationship is acceptable with the Father through His Son Jesus. Read Hebrews 10:12 “But when this priest had offered for all time one sacrifice for sins, he sat down at the right hand of God”. We have all we need in Him. He is our Hope, our Shelter, our Rest, our Peace, our Provision. There is no other Way but through JESUS.

Holy and without blame an impossible task for the best of us but then again if your in Christ that is exactly what God declares you to be.

Eph 1:4  Even as [in His love] He chose us [actually picked us out for Himself as His own] in Christ before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy (consecrated and set apart for Him) and blameless in His sight, even above reproach, before Him in love.

God has chosen you in Christ, He looks at Jesus and because of His perfect sacrifice, which was the fulfillment of all that the law required blameless and sinless being a perfect man who is blameless, God accepts Jesus sacrifice for the sin of all the world gaining you access into the very presence of God the Father for you, which you had lost in the garden of Eden when Adam and Eve disobeyed the command of God not to eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Änd you He made alive who were dead in trespasses and sin” (Epesians 2:1) Because of Jesus sacrifice at Calvary, God now looks at you the same way He looks at His son, a perfect son, blameless, faultless, with no sin, no guilt, in fact He pronounces to you, your Holy in my sight, blameless and above reproach.

God sees only His son when He sees us, that is why we can be holy and blameless, and without reproach . Outside of Christ, in our own human state which is inherently evil, to be  Holy and blameless is an impossible state to be in, all have sinned. Now that  you have handed your life over to Christ, for when you do that, Jesus lives in you and makes all that was wrong with you right, according to God’s word.   You don’t focus on your short comings, your sins, your problems, you look to Jesus who has hidden you in Him, He in you and you in Him, He is your hiding place, your Redeemer, your shelter, He  now is responsible for your life your part is to believe in His finished work that was done at Calvary.  Because He lives you will  live also, He has made you alive in Christ.
